About

I’m Todd W. Bucy. I write about machine learning, constraint theory, and the conveyance hypothesis — a research program exploring how informational structures emerge under constraint and what that implies for the design of statefulness in artificial systems.

This blog is the canonical home for my long-form work. Practitioner-shaped pieces are cross-posted to Medium with the canonical URL pointing back here.

Current focus#

  • WeaverTools — a research and tooling program around stateful, constraint-aware machine intelligence (forthcoming).
  • Constraint-Organization framework — a multi-paper research arc on how constraint precedes organization in physical and informational systems.
  • Conveyance hypothesis — work on the relationship between information transfer, structure, and the emergence of agency.
